What does your role as Group Operations Director involve day to day?

My role is centred around bringing our functional teams together to ensure we consistently deliver against our business objectives. Operational efficiency sits at the heart of everything we do at NPS – from planning and delivery through to governance and continuous improvement. Getting this balance right is what drives quality, reliability, and ultimately repeat business for our clients.

What attracted you to joining NPS?

The forward-thinking nature of the business really stood out. Next-generation fibre will dominate the future of network infrastructure, and NPS is firmly at the forefront of that evolution. Being part of a company that is shaping where the industry is heading – rather than reacting to it – is exactly where I want to be.

What are the biggest challenges you face in your role?

One of the biggest challenges is securing and retaining skilled resources in such a fast-paced, high-growth environment. As demand increases and technology evolves rapidly, ensuring we have the right people in the right places – without compromising quality – is critical.

What excites you most about NPS?

The mindset of the business and, most importantly, the people. There’s a genuine forward-thinking culture at NPS, supported by strong teams who care about delivery, innovation, and doing things properly. That combination is powerful.

Do you prefer being in the office or on site – and why?

I think a healthy balance of both is essential. As a senior leader, being present and visible – whether that’s in the office or on site – is key to leading effectively. It helps build trust, maintain alignment, and stay connected to what’s really happening across the business.

Outside of work, what do you do to unwind?

I’m a big sports fan, particularly rugby – watching and attending matches with family and friends is always very enjoyable. Most importantly though, I value time spent with family. That balance is important.

Three words to describe yourself

Approachable – with a genuine open-door policy.

Proactive.

Consistent.
