This collaboration will support the commercial deployment of Hollow-Core Fibre infrastructure around the world and marks an important milestone for both organisations.
Relativity Networks has developed a patented Hollow-Core Fibre Optics cable designed for the most demanding applications in AI, cloud computing, telecommunications and high-frequency financial trading.
Bringing Experience and Scale to Hollow-Core Fibre Deployment
As part of this agreement, NPS will become the inaugural member of Relativity Networks’ Trusted Installation Partner programme. This programme has been created to ensure the successful and consistent deployment of Relativity Networks’ Hollow-Core Fibre technology by closely collaborating with selected installation companies and training them in the specifics of Hollow-Core Fibre Installation.
The NPS team brings extensive experience in fibre-network design and deployment, including early-stage Hollow-Core Fibre projects since 2019.
Our end-to-end methodology spans the full project lifecycle, from planning and pre-staging to handover and ongoing support, ensuring that deployments are delivered to the highest standard.
This experience will be key as Relativity Networks scales its global production and installation efforts and introduces its Hollow-Core Fibre technology to commercial environments.
Demonstrating Real-World Viability
As part of this partnership, Relativity Networks and NPS have worked through hundreds of splices of the company’s fibre, applying rotational alignment techniques and interferometer inspection of cleaves.
These processes are a critical aspect of commercialisation, showing customers, exactly how Hollow-Core Fibre can be deployed effectively and integrated seamlessly into existing infrastructure.
By carrying out this work together, NPS and Relativity Networks are helping to remove barriers to adoption and give network operators the confidence to embrace this next-generation fibre technology.
